No 214 (FMS) Squadron Association

I have just attended the final AGM of the 214 Squadron Association. I served on 214 between 1966 and 1968 with very happy memories. Sadly, with the grim reaper taking his toll and older members increasingly infirm, it is the right time, 100 years since the Squadron formation, to call it a day. I would like to thank all the members of the committee, past and present, for their tireless efforts to keep the memory alive. Ultor In Umbris!

  1. A wonderful weekend celebrating our time on a distinguished squadron. The unfortunate aspect of the Centenary, however, is that for the last 40 years, the Unit has existed merely as a King's original signed and approved crest on the wall in the Royal Air Force Club. Like so many other fine RAF squadrons, it is the victim of completely self-serving and indeed inadequate politicians and offocials.
