Lessons Learned

Well, “who saw that coming?”  Probably more people than cared to admit it at the time with the prominent exception of Rod Liddle who pretty well called it 100%.  No doubt all the results will be analysed to death but there is one more human point that ought to be included in the lessons learned.  So, when the dust settles and the blame game is complete, the pointy heads at Conservative Party HQ may care to consider Michel Houellebecq’s observation in “Submission?”

"It may well be impossible for people who have lived and prospered under a given social system to imagine the point of view of those who feel it offers them nothing, and who can contemplate its destruction without any particular dismay."
