What Is Going On In Brussels?

What is going on in Brussels?  No sooner had the BBC finished not reporting Juncker’s grand plans for a United States of Europe; with further enlargement, sweeping new powers for Brussels and open borders, than the Times leaked that the Germans and the French were plotting to close their frontiers, for years if necessary, and without explanation. Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Norway support Germany and France.  Apparently, whilst Juncker believes in tourism not terrorism, Germany and France have a more cautious response for their increasingly beleaguered citizens and are clearly worried that extension of the Schengen zone to Bulgaria and Romania may prove a step too far.  But in any case, is this belated recognition of reality too late to change Douglas Murray’s prediction for “The Strange Death of Europe?”
